This article examines the role of Critical Management Studies (CMS) as a branch of management theory that functions to criticize management as a practice and a body of knowledge. CMS puts management practices and management disciplines in the real world. CMS reflects the rightness and goodness of

management practices including values and norms. Academics including students and managers as practitioners need to be involved in CMS. The involvement of academics and managers through research and discussion using critical thinking in learning for long life education. The cognitive psychology

approach through Kolb's Experiential Learning Theory model can be used as the basis for critical thinking in CMS.
