RANCANGAN MINIMASI WASTE PADA PROSES PRODUKSI DRESS PADA CV NYWAN GARMINDO DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE LEAN SIX SIGMA
Abstrak
Waste is an activity that does not provide added value in a production process so it must be
reduced or eliminated. CV Nywan Garmindo is a garment company that produces children's
dresses. In the production process, CV Nywan Garmindo is still identified by several waste.
Therefore this study aims to identify the waste that occurs and provide waste minimization design
to be able to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the company's production process.
Lean six sigma is one method that can be used to identify and design waste minimization for
a production process. This method is carried out with the DMAIC step as with the step on six
sigma. Some analysis tools are used in lean six sigma such as PAM, and VSM to identify waste.
Then the Ishikawa and FMEA diagrams to analyze the causes and effects of waste and provide a
minimization design.
From the results of the identification of waste carried out, identified the seven wastes namely
defect, overproduction, waiting time, excessive transportation, excessive inventory, unnecessary
motion, and excessive processing. The minimization design is prioritized in the provision of
training and supervision of labor to improve human quality, improvement of work methods in each
division so as not to cause additional activities in other divisions, arrangement of production system
layouts to streamline material movements, and use of sales projections to determine the amount of
production.
