PERAN UNIT APRON MOVEMENT CONTROL (AMC) DALAM MENJAMIN KESELAMATAN PENERBANGAN DI BANDAR UDARA YOGYAKARTA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of the Apron Movement Control (AMC) Unit in ensuring flight safety at Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA). Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results show that AMC plays a vital role in operational monitoring through field patrols, CCTV surveillance, SOP implementation, coordination with ATC and ground handling, and the use of communication and aircraft tracking equipment. AMC also regularly conducts safety campaigns, inspections, and performance evaluations. In conclusion, AMC's role is crucial and must be continuously improved through training, equipment upgrades, and enhanced inter-unit coordination.
